Autonosphere provides AI strategy, systems and implementation services to businesses in the United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and in the course of our work, why we hold it, and what rights you have over it.
We are the data controller for the information described here. For anything in this policy, contact nick@autonosphere.co.uk.
What we collect
When you contact us — your name, email address, the organisation you represent, and whatever you choose to tell us about your business or enquiry. This comes from you, and you decide how much of it to give us.
When you use the site — standard technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and time spent. This is collected automatically and is used in aggregate.
If you subscribe to updates — your email address, and a record of whether you have opened or clicked our emails, so we can tell whether they are worth sending.
We do not collect special category data through this site, and we ask that you do not send it to us by email.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
Replying to your enquiry and carrying out work you have asked for — contract, or steps taken before entering one. Understanding how the site is used and improving it — legitimate interests. Sending updates you have asked for — consent. Keeping records we are required to keep — legal obligation.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered whether our interest is outweighed by your rights, and concluded it is not. You can ask us to explain that assessment, and you can object to it.
Client information
Engagements often involve access to a client’s own systems and records. That information is handled under the terms of the engagement rather than this policy: it is processed on the client’s instructions, for the purposes they set, and returned or deleted at the end of the work. We do not use client data to train models, and we do not reuse it for other clients.
Who else sees it
We use third parties to host this site, deliver email, and measure traffic. They act on our instructions and may only use the data to provide their service to us. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
We will disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim. Some providers are outside the UK; where that is the case, transfers are made under the safeguards permitted by UK data protection law.
Cookies
The site uses cookies for basic functionality and for analytics. Analytics cookies tell us which pages are read and how people arrive, in aggregate. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser; the site will still work.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become engagements are kept for up to two years, in case you come back to us. Records relating to work we have carried out are kept for as long as we may need them for legal, tax or professional reasons. Subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correct anything inaccurate, delete it where we have no continuing reason to hold it, restrict or object to how we are using it, provide it in a portable format, or stop sending you marketing — at any time and without giving a reason.
Email nick@autonosphere.co.uk and we will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you came to us first, so we have a chance to put it right.
Changes
We update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
